I wrote this tune in Corsica, the island located in somewhat traditionally disputed waters between France and Italy. Though an incredible and beautiful place, I had no personal connection to the song I would've been writing had I tried to make it about my trip there....so instead I chose to focus it on a more familiar type of "corsica"...the kind made in the 80's by Chevrolet. The song chronicles a tale of a relationship riddled with guilt, sexual confsuion, and ultimately DIVORCE. Yay!
lyrics
A survey at the mall found that 7 out of 10 are appalled
at the way it went down, you put the goddam thing in the ground
And it’s hard enough to even make it go
In our Olds 98, we we’re young, you we’re straight
We know now, I knew then, that kind of thing will never happen again
Is that enough to even make it go
Do You Know
We broke down near Teague, we were stranded half a day in the heat
You came on real strong, it was not the right time to be wrong
And its enough to even make it go
Is that enough to even make it go
Do Know Me
I wont stop dragon, you know Im gonna have it and no one will be tellin me no
Never stop dragon, you know Im gonna take it and next time Ima take it alone
TIp tip tip tip tip toe
You wait for long and then the one good part of its gone
You’ve been had, been put on, well hallelujah can we finally move on
if that’s enough to even make it go
You’ve been had, been put on, well hallelujah can we finally move on and on and on
And its enough to even make it go
New old me
New Horizon
You know that I...
that’s not enough to really make it go
tip tip tip tip tip toe
You know Im not diggin, you know Im gonna dig in
and now Im gonna make it a goal to not fuck up (suck up in radio version)
Im done diggin, you know you’re gonna dig it, you know you’re gonna freak out alone
Never stop draggin, You know Im gonna take it and next time Im gonna take it alone
Never stop draggin, You know Im gonna take it and next time Im gonna take it alone
